WWE legend, Glens Falls native Jim Duggan recovering from emergency surgery

WWE Hall of Fame wrestler and Glens Falls native “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan is feeling better after having emergency surgery on Sunday, according to a statement from his wife Debra Haynes Duggan.Both Jim and his wife were visiting Glens Falls on Friday, where Duggan was honored by the city and Glens Falls Mayor Bill Collins after having the day named after him.On Saturday, Duggan was inducted into the Glens Falls Firefighters Association as an honorary member for his work in the ’70s as a summer firefighter. After the event, he did a meet-and- greet with fans from all over the North Country.The event raised $2,500 for the Glens Falls Nation Fund, whose mission is to help support students in the district through extracurricular programs such as art, music, clubs and athletics.To donate to the Glens Falls Nation Fund and for more information, click here.
