Amsterdam man accused of stealing from concession stand
An Amsterdam man is facing charges after police said he stole money and merchandise from a concession building at Isabel’s Field.
Derek M. Kaai, 33, is accused of entering the building in the early morning hours of Sept. 10 and taking the items, according to a news release. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance from Amsterdam Police, generated leads that lead to Kaai’s arrest.
Kaai was charged with third-degree burglary. He was arraigned in Amsterdam Town Court and released. He is due back in court at a later date.
Police are seeking a second suspect and additional charges may be pending.
