Walmart, Sam Club to pay 100% of college tuition for workers
Walmart says it will now pay 100% of college tuition and books for its workers through its "Live Better U" program.
The company is making nearly a $1 billion investment over the next five years in career-driven training and development.
The money will be available to approximately 1.5 million part-time and full-time Walmart and Sam’s Club associates in the United States.
Walmart is also adding four academic partners to its program: Johnson & Wales, The University of Arizona, The University of Denver, and Pathstream.
Since launching the program in 2018, more than 52,000 associates have participated.
