Part of Burden Lake Road in Sand Lake has been closed for two years and there is still no concrete plans to reopen it.

A report is now being requested, 13Investigates has learned.

The Sand Lake town supervisor says the Burden Lake Preservation Corporation is requesting for an engineering assessment of the dam that runs under the road.

The supervisor previously told 13Investgiates nobody seems to know exactly what the issue with dam is but it’s keeping the road closed.

That’s why this request for an engineering report is so important.

The request for a report is due in two weeks.

While this is movement, the assessment could take months.
