Zeldin, Hochul prepare to face-off in November

Congressman Lee Zeldin will face off against Gov. Kathy Hochul in the upcoming November general election.

Gov. Hochul says she was humbled by all of the votes she received in the primary. However, Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin is vying to take her job.

A recent survey USA poll asked more than 2,100 likely November voters who they would select. Looking at the numbers, 52% say they would select Hochul, while 28% select Zeldin.

Both Zeldin and Hochul say a major issue they have been concerned about is crime.

Republican Sen. Jim Tedisco is a Zeldin supporter. Sen. Tedisco says many voters are concerned about inflation and public safety. Even though Zeldin is behind in the polls, he believes he can win in November. Tedisco says New Yorkers are not happy with the direction of the state. He cited that many people are leaving.
