Regarded as the turning point of the American Revolution, Saratoga County is out with new branding and marketing, calling itself “America’s Turning Point.”

The cannon fired on the lawn of the county complex on Thursday was a signal that they mean business promoting the anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga.

They set up a commission of historians, electeds, educators and re-enactors.

They’re planning big events over the next few years, leading up to 2027 and the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga and the British surrender.
