Fultonville man admits to setting his house on fire
Fultonville man admits to setting home on fire that killed pet.
A Fultonville man pleaded guilty on Wednesday to arson for setting his home on fire.
Michael Bell, 37, admitted that he intentionally started the fire on June 7. He then left home to pick up his children from school. Firefighters responded to the scene.
Bell’s wife and children were not harmed, but a pet died in the fire. The family lost everything.
They had no knowledge of his actions, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said.
After an investigation, police arrested Bell.
Bell faces five to 15 years in prison when sentenced on March 14.
NewsChannel 13 reached out to investigators about a possible motive. We’re waiting to hear back.
