Farnsworth Middle School wins STEM competition, students onto nationals

Students from Farnsworth Middle School, part of the Guilderland Central School District, won the Future City STEM competition on Saturday and will advance to the national championship.

Teams of students from other Capital Region schools competed in designing a city a century into the future and were evaluated by a panel of STEM professionals.

Each team wrote an essay, designed a model city and presented their results.

Farnsworth Middle School students will travel to Washington D.C. in February to participate in the national competition.
