Taste of Troy interactive historic food tours are back with improvements for this season.
Taste of Troy offers a sample of downtown Troy and Albany.
The owners have been giving tours for the past six years.
There are two main tours. The Historic Downtown Albany tour, which is Friday afternoon. While in Albany, guests stop at five restaurants – including Banh Mi 47 and Cider Belly Doughnuts.
The other tour is the Central Troy Historic District Food Tour. It features four restaurants on Saturday mornings. It includes La Capital Tacos and Troy Waterfront Farmer’s Market. All tours are walking tours, and last about three hours. While walking, participants learn about the history of the area as they eat a progressive meal.
Each tour is limited to 10 guests. Tours are observing COVID protocols by requiring a negative test or proof of vaccination, and asking guests to bring masks, and plating individual dishes.
Each tour is about $75, and private tours can be arranged.
