A new discount retailer is set to open in Colonie.

Burlington, formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, will have its grand opening in Northway Shopping Center on May 3.

The retailer has more than 1,000 stores across the United States.

Burlington currently has three other locations in the capital region: Crossgates Mall, The Shoppes at Latham Circle and Mohawk Commons in Niskayuna.
