A life-saving bill that would require EpiPens in public venues across New York state has overwhelmingly passed the New York State Legislature. Now all it needs is Gov. Kathy Hochul’s signature.
The bill requires all public venues with a capacity of at least 1,000 people to make available the devices, which can reverse the effects of an allergic reaction. That includes stadiums, ballparks, gymnasiums, theaters and outdoor amphitheaters.
The bill would also require at least one person on site be trained to use the device.
