Two people are facing charges for allegedly having crack ccoaine after Cohoes drug bust

Two Cohoes residents are facing drug charges after a months-long narcotics investigation.

Investigators searched an apartment on Mohawk Street and seized 17 packages of crack cocaine totaling over 6 grams, Cohoes Police said.  

Two residents were arrested as result of the investigation – 43-year-old Skakema Tune and 44-year-old James Austin. They were each charged with criminal possession of a narcotic drug and criminal possession of a narcotic drug-intent to sell.

Tune was arraigned and released in Cohoes City Court pending a future court date.

Austin is currently on parole with three felony convictions and is wearing ankle monitoring electronic device for second-degree burglary. He was arraigned and sent to Albany County Jail.
