NY State Police arrest Albany drug dealer after long-term investigation
The New York State Police arrested Tylan M. Houze, 26, of Albany on July 10 after a long-term investigation concerning drug sales in the Albany area and surrounding counties.
Authorities say Houze was found to be in possession of around 96 grams of cocaine, 56 grams of crack-cocaine, 77 grams of fentanyl, and over $10,000 in U.S. Currency.
Houze was charged with the following:
- Two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- One count of third-degree fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle
- Obstruction of governmental administration
Police were executing a search warrant issued by Albany County Court when Houze attempted to flee in a 2016 Acura TL.
Houze was taken into custody shortly after crashing the vehicle near Morton Avenue in Albany, said State Police.
The arrest was conducted by New York State Police Troop K Violent Gang and Narcotics team, in conjunction with Troop K and G Community Stabilization Units, Troop K Major Crimes Unit, Albany Police Department, and the New York State Police Electronic Surveillance Unit.
