Global IT outage delays hearing for Pittsfield charged in fatal crash

Hearing moved for woman charged in fatal crash

Judith Daly, 85, hit and killed Noor Khan Zadran, of Albany on State Route 41, last November. She is charged with motor vehicular homicide by means of negligence, two marked lanes violations, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and operating to endanger by means of negligence, NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Berkshire Eagle reported.

The global IT outage that started last weekend has delayed the hearing for a Pittsfield woman charged with vehicular homicide.

Judith Daly, who is almost 86 years old, was supposed to have a hearing on Monday, according to NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle. However, the computers in the courtroom were affected by the outage, so Daly’s lawyers requested to reschedule the hearing to Aug. 27.

Daly’s defense team said she had a stroke while driving on Route 41 and struck Albany resident Noor Khan Zadran. He died three days later at Albany Medical Center.

Daly kept driving after the crash and struck some traffic cones before stopping in the woods, according to police.

Daly lives at an assisted living home in Chatham. She had a stroke behind the wheel, the paper reported.
