A woman was arraigned Tuesday, July 30 in a deadly Albany stabbing.

Ashley Mowatt, 33, allegedly stabbed Donnell Lewis, 41, of Albany, during a fight near Commerce Avenue and North Manning Boulevard on the morning of Monday, July 29.

Lewis was found lying in the street. Rescuers were not able to save him.

Mowatt is charged with first-degree manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence. She was sent back to jail and is due back in court on Aug. 2.
