Albany man arrested for DWI following past road rage investigation
New York State Police arrested Andrew T. Jensen, 30, of Albany for a DWI, among other vehicle and traffic violations on July 31.
This arrest was following a past road rage investigation involving Jensen.
Troopers received a complaint on June 20, which the complaint was from a victim involved in Jensen’s road rage that occurred on June 14. Investigation into the complaint revealed that Jensen allegedly intentionally threw items from his vehicle on Interstate 87 in Colonie. These items struck the victim’s vehicle, leaving no damage behind.
On July 31 at around 9:40 p.m., Jensen was stopped by Troopers on Albany Shaker Road in Colonie for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
During the stop, Jensen was arrested for driving while intoxicated as well as the vehicle and traffic law violation, said police.
As well as the charges from July 31, police say Jensen was also charged with the alleged crimes from June 14 during the road rage incident.
His charges included third-degree attempted criminal mischief, reckless endangerment of property, driving while intoxicated, and other multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
State Police say Jensen was taken to State Police Latham for processing, where he refused to give a sample to evaluate his blood alcohol content.
Jensen was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Colonie Town Court on August 14, 2024 and released to a sober third party.
