The Schenectady Police Department has recently added four new electric bicycles to help officers on patrol.

The new rides are equipped with electronic pedal-assist that allow officers to travel further and more efficiently throughout the city, whether patrolling the parks or in our neighborhoods.

New York has allowed people to operate e-scooter and bikes on some streets and highways since August 2020.
