Gas line repairs on Hoosick Street could last until early Thursday morning
Gas line rupture forces lane closure on Hoosick Street in Troy.
Motorists should continue to expect delays on Hoosick Street in Troy as crews work to repair a gas line.
The break happened near the Route 7 bridge. National Grid spokesman Patrick Stella said they received reports of a gas smell on Tuesday evening. Crews located the source.
Stella said a portion of the gas pipe along Hoosick Street is being replaced. The work could last until late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
The road has been reduced to one westbound lane of traffic.
The Sunoco gas station on Hoosick Street lost gas service during the repair, according to Stella.
