New York City man gets 5 years in prison for having cocaine at Amsterdam hotel
A New York City man was sentenced to 5 years in prison after he was arrested earlier this year with cocaine at an Amsterdam hotel.
William De La Rosa, 29, had previously admitted in federal court that on Jan. 25 of this year, he drove to the hotel with 1 kilogram of cocaine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He planned to distribute the drug to another person.
When he arrived, police searched his vehicle and found the cocaine.
De La Rosa also must serve 4 years of post-release supervision.
