Choking person leads to 2 years in jail for Malta man

A Malta man was sentenced to 2 years in jail Thursday for choking a person.

Kevin J. Decelle, 35, was arrested last November after a domestic incident in the town of Halfmoon. Decelle struck the victim multiple times, obstructed their breathing and sexually assaulted them.

Decelle pleaded guilty in May to second-degree strangulation and burglary.
