Schenectady man accused of threatening police after allegedly shooting himself

A 19-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly threatening officers

Police were called to Kingston Avenue in Schenectady, just before 9 a.m. Thursday for a man who had been shot.

Investigators learned Xaiver Santiago accidentally shot himself.

Santiago was arrested after police said he made a terroristic threat towards officers.
He is now facing charges for that and for weapons possession.
