Albany Police investigating shooting on North Lake Avenue

Albany Police tell us they are investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning on North Lake Avenue.

Police received reports from Albany Medical Center Hospital around 3:25 a.m. of a 40-year-old male had entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his lower leg.

Police say the victim told them that he sustained the injury while walking in the area of North Lake Avenue and Livingston Avenue.

The victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
