Police investigating overnight shooting in Troy on 1st Street

The Troy Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning on the 400 block of 1st Street.

They say they responded to the scene around 1:15 a.m.

Police tell us an adult male victim was found and transported from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Troy Police say preliminary investigation determined that the incident took place inside a residence, the victim and suspect are familiar with each other, and the shooting was part of an ongoing dispute.

Police say detectives will continue investigating to identify and arrest the suspect.
