The crash happened around 3:20 a.m. on Amsterdam Road (Route 5) near the intersection of Water’s Road.
Nyvon Irizarry, 25, of Schenectady, was driving a 2012 Honda Accord east on Amsterdam Road, when he lost control of the vehicle. It left the road and struck several trees before ending up at the bottom of a ravine.
Nyvon and his passengers Quiessence Irizarry, John Kemp and Elijah Holmes, who are all 24, were killed in the crash.
The group was traveling with three other vehicles that had just left a party in Amsterdam.
In addition, the road was wet and it was foggy that morning.
