Two drivers charged with DWI after crashing into each other
Two drivers are facing driving while intoxicated charges after a crash.
Deputies responded to a crash on Route 9N in Lake George just before 11 p.m. on Sept. 21, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators determined both drivers were drunk, according to police.
Matthew P. McVey, 35, of Montgomery, allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.24% – three times the legal limit.
McVey was charged with aggravated DWI and issued a traffic ticket for failure to keep right.
Mcvey was released and will be arraigned in Lake George Town Court at a later date.
Nicholas Ginter, 45, of Hudson Falls refused to take a breath test, police said. He was charged with DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was held in jail pending arraignment in Warren County Centralized Arraignment Court.
