Mechanicville woman arrested for possession of stolen vehicle from Watervliet

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Julymar Garcia-Gonzalez, 25, of Mechanicville on Friday for possession of stolen property.
The Sheriff’s Office says Garcia-Gonzales is accused of knowingly possessing stolen property with a value in excess of $3,000.
Authorities say she is alleged to have been in possession of a motor vehicle that was reported stolen from Watervliet.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check call at the Walmart on 1549 Route 9 in Halfmoon around 5:30 p.m., with the call being for a female operating a motor vehicle with an infant in her lap.
Investigation revealed that she was in possession of the reported stolen vehicle., said police.
The Sheriff’s Office says Garcia-Gonzales was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
She was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court and released on her own recognizance pending further proceedings.
