A Halfmoon man is accused of stealing $3,300 worth of fence panels from Home Depot.

Leonard Tenace allegedly took the material from the store at the Shoppes at Greenbush Plaza, North Greenbush Police said.

Tenace was at the parking lot on Oct. 5. Staff reported that he and an accomplice had previously stolen fence panels. An officer found Tenace in the parking lot loading up the panels. The driver of the car said they thought he paid for them both times, according to police.

The first load of panels cost $689.80. Police did not determine the value of the second load since they had not left the parking lot.

Police said Tenace was also a suspect in two prior thefts of fence panels including $1,379.60 on Sept. 6 and $1,234.60 on Sept. 29.

Tenace was charged with two counts of grand larceny and one count of petit larceny. He was arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court and sent without bail to Rensselaer County Jail because of multiple felony convictions.

He’s due in court at a later date.
