Dolly Parton reading program has huge Capital Region impact

Country star Dolly Parton is making a huge impact in the Capital Region.

Her Imagination Library has already helped a ton of kids since launching over the summer, including in Rensselaer County, where the impact was spotlighted.

The library mails free, high-quality books each month to children from birth to age 5, regardless of their family’s income.

Since its inception in 1995, the program has delivered more than 240 million books to kids, and it is now the largest early childhood book gifting program of its kind.
