Albany exhibit sheds light on domestic violence

Survivors of domestic violence are being honored on their journey to healing and safety in Albany on Tuesday.

The New York State Clothesline Project exhibit will show off a display of T-shirts decorated by New York state survivors through words or artwork. It’s at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.

The event will provide education on the prevalence of domestic violence, and it will help give survivors a platform to break the silence surrounding their abuse.
The Clothesline Project started back in 1990 in Hyannis, Massachusetts, and has grown ever since.

The exhibit runs through Thursday, Oct. 19.
