Police: Fultonville woman drove drunk with child in the vehicle for second time

A Fultonville woman is accused of driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle for the second time.

Deputies stopped Heather M. Beebe, 38 in the town of Glen on Oct. 20 after receiving a traffic complaint that started in the village of Fonda. Beebe appeared to be intoxicated. She was given field sobriety tests and then arrested, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

A child under the age of 2 was in the vehicle, police said. That upgraded the charge to felony aggravated DWI-Leandra’s Law.

Beebe has two previous felony convictions for DWI including a previous conviction for driving drunk with a child in the vehicle.

The child was turned to another adult on scene. Beebe allegedly refused chemical testing to determine the blood alcohol concentration.

She was sent without bail to the Montgomery County Jail and is due in Glen Town Court at a later date.
