Police: Granville man was nearly 3x too drunk to drive
A Granville man is accused of driving while nearly three times the legal limit for intoxication and crashing his car.
State Police responded to the area of Route 149 in Granville around 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 18 for a report of a car that crashed and brought utility wires down. Joseph M. Mattison, 38, was not hurt. He was found to be intoxicated, police said.
Mattison had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.22%. The legal limit is 0.08%.
He was charged with DWI and traffic violations. He was released on an appearance ticket and due in Granville Town Court on Nov. 11.
