Phish held their first concert of the weekend at MVP Arena in Albany on Friday night. This concert is apart of a weekend series of concerts where 100% of proceeds will benefit a recovery facility in Ludlow, V.T.

That facility is called the Dividend Sky Residential Recovery Program and was co-founded by one Phish band member, Trey Anastasio.

Anastasio was arrested back in December of 2006 for driving while intoxicated and heroin possession. He ended up spending 14 months in rehab and then in November of 2023 he helped open the rehab facility in Vermont.

Andy Bernstein the President of Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program and said he could not thank Trey more for all of his help.

“It really started with an idea that Trey had, working with his former program officer,” Bernstein said.

Berstein said the facility is a special place for people to who need rehab to recover.

“It’s a place for hope and love where people learn the tools to have a joyful life and sobriety. It’s a really unique approach. It’s just not about what’s on the inside, to not just getting drugs at of your body setting you up for the next step life,” said Bernstein.

Fans who attended the concert encouraged people to donate to the facility.  

There are two more concerts scheduled throughout this weekend with both set to start at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
