As a female trouble mechanic, Amy Broz represents just ¼ of 1% of National Grid’s utility line workers in New York state.
Broz started as a meter reader at the company in 1991 and worked her way up to her current position.
Broz’s work includes power outage emergencies, hit poles, and even fire calls where emergency workers can’t save someone until the power is shut off.
