Avelo Airlines on Thursday launched service between Albany International Airport and Charlotte.

The nonstop service will run Thursday and Saturday through Concord-Padgett Regional Airport, which is located just minutes from Charlotte. One-way fairs start at $56.

It is the first and only airline to offer service from Albany to Charlotte.
