The West Stockbridge man who donated this year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree has sadly suffered a stroke.

The family of Earl Albert posted the news on social media.

Albert is currently in the hospital, his family said.

The family learned their tree was under consideration four years ago in 2020, just two days after Earl’s wife passed away.

They couldn’t have a funeral for her due to COVID, and said this was a way to remember her.

Earl’s family now would like you to send him a Christmas card.

The address is:
Earl Albert, P.O. Box 109, West Stockbridge, MA 01266
