A woman is dead after a crash on the Northway, according to State Police.

The crash happened around 6:20 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 20.

State Police said the vehicle had overturned and struck the Gurney Lane overpass. The driver had severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The left and center northbound lanes were closed for around three hours for the investigation.

The victim’s name is not being released until family is notified.
