21-year-old Wilton man arrested for hitting person in the face, violating an order of protection in the process

21-year-old Nicholas J. Towers of Wilton was arrested by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office following a disturbance in Wilton that happened last week.

The Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a disturbance on Adirondack Circle in Wilton around 12:54 p.m. Friday.

Towers is accused of striking another person to their facial area with his hand, which this violated an order of protection in the process, said police.

Authorities say Towers is also charged with committing a specified offense, under the statute of having been convicted with a specified offense within the last five years.

Officials say Towers was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment, and aggravated family offense.

The Sheriff’s Office says he was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail, bond, or partially-secured bond pending further proceedings.
