Albany man faces drug, weapons charges after domestic incident

A 24-year-old Albany man is facing drug and weapons charges following a domestic incident.

Albany Police officers responded to a residence on Walter Street near North First Street just after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Rahzare Williams allegedly got into a fight with a woman. He implied he had a gun and threatened to harm her, police said.

Officers saw Williams leaving the residence when they arrived. In addition, police searched the home and found a loaded handgun. In addition, he allegedly had fentanyl.

Williams has been charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
