A first of its kind proposal from Gov. Kathy Hochul could put more money in your pockets.
A first of its kind proposal from Gov. Kathy Hochul could put more money in your pockets.
The governor proposed New York state’s first ever Inflation Refund. It would deliver about $3 billion in direct payments to more than 8.5 million taxpayers across the state.
To break it down, single taxpayers who make up to $150,000 per year would get $300.
Joint tax filers who make up to $300,000 a year would get $500.
This is all a part of Hochul’s State of the State affordability agenda.
She says the cost of living is still too high, and New Yorkers deserve a break.
