New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ office says it will no longer house migrants at the SureStay Plus in Colonie, and the Holiday Inn Express and Ramada Plaza, both in Albany.

Asylum seekers have been arriving in New York City and looking for help at a much lower rate, the mayor said.

The city has been busing those migrants upstate, including here in the Capital Region.

The number of migrants in New York City shelters is at its lowest point in more than a year and a half.
Twenty-five shelters across the state are set to close by March.
