The partnership between two local fire departments and Active Ingredient Brewing Company has been so successful in the past, the special release beer Amber Embers is back for another holiday season. This time, Active Ingredient owners Brian Fox and Nathan Rogers are doubling down on their donation. In 2023, the sales of Amber Embers brought in $1,600 for the Malta Ridge Volunteer Company and Round Lake Volunteer Fire Department. This year, the contribution is doubling to $2 for every pint and four-pack of beer sold.
