Saratoga Springs Democrats pick candidate for special Public Works election

Democrats in Saratoga Springs have picked Hank Kuczynski in a special election for the city's Commissioner of Public Works position. As NewsChannel 13 has reported, the city is holding a special election on Jan. 28 to replace Jason Golub, who left in August.

Democrats in Saratoga Springs have picked Hank Kuczynski in a special election for the city’s Commissioner of Public Works position. As NewsChannel 13 has reported, the city is holding a special election on Jan. 28 to replace Jason Golub, who left in August.

The Democratic committee is endorsing Hank Kuczynski as a write-in candidate.

“We believe Hank’s vision for an effective and efficient Public Works Department, coupled with his hands-on approach, will continue to help keep our city clean and safe in this critical role. We are confident that he will continue to serve Saratoga Springs with the same passion and excellence he has demonstrated throughout his career.”

Kuczynksi has served as the interim commissioner since November, a position for which he was unanimously appointed by the mayor and City Council in November. Early voting starts Saturday, Jan. 18.
