Police chase leads to Fort Ann crash

A person is now in police custody after a chase in Washington County on Thursday.

State Police say they started chasing the car just before 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The car eventually crashed in the area of Ridge Road and State Route 149 in Fort Ann, State Police said.

The driver got out of the car and ran away on foot before being caught shortly after, according to police.

No major injuries were reported, police said, and no other cars were involved.
