Clear the Shelters has been a strong tradition for Newschannel13 and this year we are celebrating our 10th Anniversary kicking off on August 10th running through September 10th 2024!

Clear The Shelters is a nationwide pet adoption initiative uniting NBC Universal stations across the country with a common goal: To help every animal in need and find a loving home.

Last year, NewsChannel13 and Curtis Lumber helped make it possible for over 1,000 local pets to find their forever homes in the month of August alone! Help us break that record in 2024!

Use the interactive map below to find a participating shelter near you, check out our Adoptable Pet gallery, or click ā€œDonate Nowā€ and give to a local shelter and they receive 100% of the money raised!

Thank you to all the participating animal shelters and to everyone who donates funds or adopts a pet.

A different pet will be featured each morning Monday through Friday in the 6-7am newscast!
