Juvenile admits to putting graffiti on Route 50 businesses
A 16-year-old student has admitted to putting graffiti on multiple businesses along Route 50.
Glenville Police responded to the Taco Shop at 710 Saratoga Road on Saturday, Jan. 11 to investigate graffiti on the front of the business. Police learned that four other businesses were vandalized.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office was conducting a similar investigation of graffiti at businesses in the town of Ballston.
Businesses provided surveillance footage and with the help of sheriff’s investigators and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake school resource officers, they were able to identify a suspect. The juvenile confessed, according to police.
Every business has decided not to pursue formal charges in family court. Police hope that the suspect works with businesses to clean up the damage.
