A well-known local attorney who tragically died in a skiing accident at Gore Mountain over the weekend was wearing a helmet, according to investigators.

Kevin Colwell, 53, was found with severe injuries in the area of the Sagamore Trail at Gore Mountain, according to police. He died at the scene, they said.

Colwell was the founder of the Colwell Law Group.
As NewsChannel 13 has reported, he was an expert skier.

Police are still investigating his tragic death.
