Search of homes leads to two arrests in Troy

Troy Police have arrested two people in drug and weapons investigations.
Police searched a home at 250 9th Street and found a Robert Moore, 46, with 40 envelopes containing powder that included fentanyl. Moore was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The Emergency Response Team conducted another search at a residence at 319 4th Street, where police said a Dewanna M. Yakubu, 44, had two loaded firearms with extended magazines. Yakubu is facing two counts of criminal possession of a firearm and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon-extended magazine.
They were both arraigned in Troy City Court.
During the same operation, police searched the basement apartment at 319 4th St., which police said had active surveillance equipment with cameras pointed everywhere to alert occupants of anyone who came in. In addition, the apartment was reinforced to try to prevent access by law enforcement.
One person was detained and the investigation is ongoing.
