The Rotterdam Town Board member caught on video taking mail from a mailbox won’t be going to jail.

Republican Joe Mastroianni was running for New York State Assembly.

He was caught on a Ring camera taking his campaign mail out of a mailbox at a Rotterdam home.

Mastroianni was charged with petit larceny.

The case was transferred to Schenectady City Court because both Rotterdam town justices recused themselves.

Mastroianni was in court Monday and the case was resolved with a fine of around $600.

Mastroianni lost the election to incumbent Democrat Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara.
