Alabama man allegedly threatened Albany man with gun

An Alabama man was arrested early Tuesday morning after Albany Police said he had a loaded handgun.

Officers were flagged down around 2:15 a.m. in the area of Madison Avenue and Delaware Avenue. A man told them that he sitting in a parked vehicle in the area of Madison Avenue and Willett Street, when he was approached by a man who pointed a gun at him before taking off in a vehicle.

The officer provided a description over the police radio, and officers found the vehicle in the area of Henry Johnson Boulevard and State Street.  Police found a handgun in the vehicle.

Marcus Lewis, 33, of Tuscaloosa, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Lewis was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and sent to Albany County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000.
