Police: I-787 closed for nearly 4 hours after drunk driver gets on going wrong way

I-787 was closed around Exit 7 in Watervliet during the very early morning hours of Friday after State Police say Chris Buregeya got on the highway going the wrong way, hitting another vehicle.
WATERVLIET, N.Y. (WNYT)- I-787 was closed around Exit 7 in Watervliet during the very early morning hours of Friday after State Police say Chris Buregeya got on the highway going the wrong way, hitting another vehicle.
The accident happened around 12:29 a.m., keeping I-787 closed until around 4 a.m.
Police said Buregeya, 25, from Rensselaer had a BAC of 0.15%. He was charged with DWI and other traffic violations.
No one was injured in the crash. Buregeya is scheduled to appear in Watervliet City Court at a later date.
